EQUIPMENT:

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 chicken legs with skin
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • One teaspoon paprika
  • A teaspoon garlic powder
  • One teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 egg

INSTRUCTION:

  1. We can pat dry the chicken legs with paper towels.
  2. Apply the olive oil on the chicken legs so that the coating and seasoning will get stick better.
  3. Take the shallow bowl and add the salt, garlic powder, pepper powder, almond flour, paprika powder, onion powder, thyme, and cayenne pepper.
  4. Mix them till they get combined.
  5. We can also take the buttermilk in another bowl.
    Now we first dip the chicken leg in the buttermilk.
  6. Then dredge the chicken legs in the almond flour mixture and press the flour on the chicken legs to get it coated properly.
  7. Warm the air fryer at 375 degrees F for around 2 to 3 minutes.
  8. We place the chicken legs in the basket in one layer.
  9. Spray the cooking oil on the legs to make them crispy.
  10. Air fries the chicken legs at 375 degrees F for 20 to 25 minutes.
  11. We change the sides of the chicken legs in between.
  12. When the chicken’s interior temperature extents to one-sixty-five degrees F and the chicken gets golden brown and crispy so we can remove the chicken.
  13. If we want to make these chicken legs extra crispy then we can air fry them for an additional 3 to 5 minutes at 400 degrees F.
  14. When the chicken legs are done put them on the plate and serve after a few minutes.

TIPS:

  • You can air fry the chicken for 3 – 5 mints if we want to prepare them extra crispy.
  • We can also double the amount of almond flour and seasoning mixture if we want to make a thick coating.
  • If we want to make them spicy; we can also increase the amount of cayenne pepper or we can also add the red chili flakes to make it spicier.

STORAGE INFORMATION:

FRIDGE:

  • Put these fried chicken legs in the sealed box and store the box for four days in the fridge.

FREEZER:

  • We can put the cooked chicken legs in a sealed bag and store them for 3 months, we can also store the seasoned uncooked chicken legs and air-fries them when required.

REHEAT:

  • Heat-up the chicken legs in the oven at three-seventy-five degrees F for 25 – 30 mints.
